The tribal union of the ancient Udmurts known under ethnonim Kalmes, was reshaped with XIII of century on the river Kalmes. Union included a kind Mozhga. Approximately in XVI century its quoters become to advance to the south from present Syumsi, mastering beginnings of the river Vala. Now in this building there is a shop on manufacturing of drinks and smoked fish of Vavozhskoye district consumer organization. The clubs and national houses were not. Under submissions took half of warehouses, and in the second half was stored wine.

Within the Soviet authority a temple have rebuilt under the House of culture, but after a fire in January, 1996 and after much persuasion authorities(power) have transmitted a temple to the believer. Now there is a Recovery of a temple and many help this. Among them: M.M. Ushkov ("Vavozhagrosnab, ltd."), I.М. Obukhov ("Indemnitor, ltd."), Head of management of region Т.V. Inozemzevа, deputy of State Council of Udmurt Republic V.A. Solovjev and many other.
Since 1999 the building of District House of Culture started, the completion which one is planned on 2003 - 2004.
